Making a donation

We want your goods, and we want your money!

Sorry if that's a bit blunt but without your generous donations of unwanted goods and the cash donations we receive, we would not be able to maintain the services we provide and certainly not on a free basis.

So please help us by donating items you no longer want. Clothes, shoes, and jewellery are always welcome and so is the old favourite, bric-a-brac.

We really welcome any collections you may have (model cars, trains, stamps etc) as we often list these on Ebay and other on-line channels.

If you have anything like this, we are more than happy to collect or even pay for you to get them to us if you are too far away to pop in.

If you would like to make a cash donation, you can follow the Just Giving link below.

If you don't want to do this online then please contact our General Manager, Steve Anderton for a chat about alternatives.

Helping older people in your Will

Over the years we have been extremely fortunate to have been remembered in the wills of several people. These gifts have been vital in making sure that our elderly citizens can continue to live the best life they can.

Naturally this is a very sensitive and difficult area to explore but, in our experience, very large numbers of people often wish to make charitable donations after they are gone and are not sure how to go about it or who to allocate money to.

As you might expect, the large national charities get significant amounts of funding in this way and, sadly for us, the smaller local charities are often overlooked.

There can be no doubt that we are not qualified to offer advice on wills and bequests, that is for you, you loved ones and your solicitor.

But we would very much welcome the opportunity to talk further so if you feel that this may be something of interest then please contact our Trustee and Treasurer, Margaret Clarke for a confidential and no-obligation discussion.

We will always respect your privacy, never pressure you, and use your gift responsibly and for the purposes you intended.
